Hi Jane,

Just wanted to say a quick thank you for a truly amazing holiday in Kalkan. In brief:

We have recently just returned back from a fabulous holiday in Kalkan. This being our first holiday in Turkey. We stayed in Villa Koru ( 003VK). Our party was made up of two adults and my three daughters 8,14 and 17. The Villa was everything we wanted it to be, nice pool ( no shallow end), lots of space, air con every where (which in 40 degree heat is an absolute must), plenty of facilities, washing machine, dishwasher etc etc. The maintenance/ cleaning people were extremely friendly and helpful, the exterior and pool area were cleaned every day with bed change and internal clean twice a week. They even lent the girls some Lilo’s and other inflatables for the pool!! We arranged transfers through Fabulous Kalkan and were very pleased that we had. On arrival we were collected in a Merceces Vito with full air con, wifi and iPod connections etc. Transfers were, as advertised about an hour and a half and were faultless on both journeys.
Kalkan is an awesome place, the people are fantastic, scenery is outstanding and we didn’t have a bad meal in the whole two weeks. We were made to feel special wherever we went.
The Villa is a small cab trip to Kalkan (£3). You can walk but be warned the hill is a heart stopper! Samira resort is close by where you can use their facilities and it was very handy for breakfast/ lunch etc They had an authentic Turkish night on a Thursday and it was great value for money and well worth attending.
We hired a car for 5 days, very cheap and worth while if you want to venture a bit further a field. Grab yourselves a boat trip while here, they seem at first a little expensive but absolutely worth every penny. We were treated like kings and queens all day.
We couldn’t fault our whole experience in Kalkan and will most definitely be returning.
